'Holding my own gaze in the mirror I let out a silent scream.'
This is the third book I've read by Lucy Foley and I'm honestly so pleased with this one. The first book I read was The Hunting Party - it was a gift by my sister to get me to read more books that weren't by Agatha Christie. I thought it was simply brilliant and tried out The Guest List as an audiobook - another masterpiece. Naturally, when I heard about this book, I didn't hesitate to order myself a copy.
This book ticked off every box - intriguing characters, a well-developed plot and a brilliant twist! I would say that Foley is a dependable and exceptional writer as you always rely on her to deliver a page-turning mystery. As someone who loves classic mystery books, The Paris Apartment was such a treat to read. I felt quite confident that I had figured everything out but Foley pulled off a Christie move of a surprising yet very clever twist.
This book is worth all the hype it has received - perfect for thriller lovers! If you enjoy books by writers such Ruth Ware, Ragnar Jónasson and Janice Hallett, then you should add this book to your TBR. I cannot wait to read more of Foley's work in the future.
